Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Quilting is a made-to-order service performed on your materials, so this policy is a bit different from a typical returns policy. We want you to be happy — here's how cancellations and refunds work.
Cancelling your order
- Before your quilt is on the frame(we haven't started quilting): cancel for a full refund. Just email us with your order number.
- Once quilting has started: because the work is underway on your quilt, the order can no longer be cancelled for a full refund. We'll refund any portion of the work not yet completed at our discretion.
- After quilting is complete: the service has been delivered and is not refundable, since custom quilting can't be “returned.”
Rush fees
Rush fees are refundable if you cancel before we start. Once a rush order is in progress, the rush fee is non-refundable.
Prepaid shipping label
If you added a prepaid inbound shipping label, it's refundable only until it's generated. Once we've emailed your label, that fee is non-refundable (used labels can't be voided). Return shipping is always included.
If something isn't right
If we made an error in your quilting, contact us within 14 daysof receiving your quilt and we'll make it right — by re-doing the work where possible or issuing an appropriate refund. Please note we can't be responsible for issues caused by the condition of the materials you supplied (see our Terms of Service).
Damaged or lost in shipping
If your finished quilt is damaged or lost in transit, contact us right away. Return shipments are insured, and we'll help you file a claim and resolve it.
How to request a cancellation or refund
Email hello@utahlongarmquilting.comwith your order number (starts with “MQ-”) and a brief description. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method via Stripe, typically within 5–10 business days.
